• Progress on Septic System

    The work site has finally dried out enough that work can continue on the septic system and two dormitories.  Final preparations are being made to be able to pour the concrete for the dormitories. The septic system for the office and healthcare center are being installed and the water should be connected to the buildings soon.   • Legacy Wrap-up from the Executive Director

    Over 150 Mothers, daughters and CWR staff celebrated the fall Mother-Daughter LEGACY retreat the weekend of October 5-7.  From start to finish, it was packed with as much action as was wanted and as much laid-back time as was needed!  Tracie Miles, our Proverbs 31 Ministries speaker,  led us so beautifully in sessions focusing on how we are “Divinely Designed” by God. “We love YOU CWR, and the speaker was awesome! We loved the music too! All of it! So wonderful!   • Meet our November 9-11 Super High Speaker: Matt Rice

    Matt grew up in South Windsor, Connecticut. He went to college at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. He graduated in 1994 with a BS in Business Administration and Sociology.  He met Dana while at GWU and they married in 1996. She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a Pharmacy degree in 1996. Matt graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with his masters 1999 and doctorate 2005. He is the pastor (since 2008) of The Creek Church in Cary, NC.   • Meet our November 2-4 Super High Speaker: Justin Deeter

    Justin Deeter is the Student Pastor at Forest Hills Baptist Church in Wilson, NC.  Justin has a love for students and passion to spread the good news of Jesus through the teaching of God’s Word.  Justin grew up in a Pastor’s home where he came to faith in Jesus Christ.  He went to Charleston Southern University and graduated with a BA in Religion.  There in college he met his beautiful wife Kaitlyn and are happily married.  Justin and Kaitlyn are currently expecting their first child, a baby boy named Jude Pierce Deeter.  Justin is also a current student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he is working toward his Masters…

  • Footings Poured!

    Due to rain delays we had to wait until today for the footings to be poured.  But we sure were excited to see the concrete trucks come pulling in!

  • Construction of Next Two Dormitories!

    Construction on the next two dormitories has begun!  The contractor will complete the footings this week and will begin preparation for pouring the concrete slab.  One of these dorms is being funded through the Buy-a-Bed challenge.  We are excited about the continued progress and look forward to the day that we can begin serving campers at CWS.
