Swim Test and the Buddy System

Camp Willow Run uses a buddy system for free swim water activities. Each camper must swim with a buddy. This can be a group of 2 or 3 and campers do not have to have the same buddy for each free swim. The system will be more fully explained to the campers by their counselors on incoming day.

At the start of the camp session, all campers will participate in a swim test. This is a simple loop in the “Blue Section” of our swim area that allows our staff to determine which areas of the waterfront the camper can safely swim in during their camp session.
