Clear Skies
In mid-January, the rain began. As you may know, it rained and it snowed and then it rained and snowed some more (see the result below). As the ground has finally dried in mid-February, we are able to take advantage of the nice weather and there is much activity taking place on the CWS property.

Weather Delays
Due to a projected major winter storm, we will delay our mailing of summer registration forms by one week. The registration forms will be placed in the mail Saturday, February 6, 2010. The online registration form will be available for download at noon on Monday, February 8. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience in this matter.

Buildin Permits Obtained
The building permits have been obtained and we are ready to begin construction. This is an exciting time as we have waited several years to see buildings spring up on the CWS property!

Text Amendment Approved!
Today the County Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the text amendment to the Lakeside Group Camp Zoning Ordinance. The approval of this text amendment was necessary for the continued construction of Camp Willow Springs and our future programs.

Building Permits & the Text Amendment
The process of obtaining the building permits for the two dorms is underway. Also, we continue to work with Warren County toward the approval of a text amendment to the Lakeside Group Camp Zoning Ordinance.

Dormitory Construction to Soon Begin!
The contract has been signed for construction of the first two dormitories to be built at Camp Willow Springs.

Timelines & Guideposts
A “time line” can remind us of where we have come from and where we are now. We can follow “guide posts” to take us where we want to go. In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, we took giant steps of faith to launch a Christian camping ministry on the shore of Lake Gaston. September Update
The Camp Willow Run summer theme, Live the Life, is from John 10:10…”I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.” During our twelve summer sessions, 2000 campers participated in summer programs. What a joy to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to this generation of young people and see their enthusiasm and joy to know and serve Him with abundant LIFE! Several years ago, we began to see huge backlogs of waiting lists for applications that could not be processed due to lack of space.
