In Memoriam: Marysue Davidson Crawley
Marysue Davidson Crawley went home to be with the Lord in the early hours of Thursday, November 18, 2010. For thirty-six years she faithfully served as a part of the Camp Willow Run staff. God used her love of cooking to establish a premier food service ministry that has been enjoyed by all campers and guests. Thousands have been impacted by her dedication, hard work, and joyful spirit. “I had loads of fun and can’t wait to come back!” “I had soooo much fun, I love CWR!!!” These are the comments of two students who attended the Super High Retreats. In addition to participating in the traditional CWR recreation areas, each church also competed in a variety of games and activities during the retreat, as they vied for the annual Super High Cup. These activities ranged from a 4-legged race, building a card tower, picking up cotton balls with their nose, to playing broomski ball. A Word from the Retreat Director, Kevin Adams
The two CWR November Super High Retreats provided an opportunity for ministry to 20 churches, some 350 students and leaders. There were 14 students who received Christ and many others who made decisions to deepen their walk with God. It is such a blessing to be part of student ministry and to see God work through Christian camping. A heart-felt thanks to all who prayed for these retreats! Meet our November 12-14 Super High Speaker: Andrew Hopper
Andrew is a Campus and Young Adult Pastor at the Summit Church in Durham, NC. Andrew is blessed with a wonderful wife named Anna and a beautiful daughter, named HattieJo. He attended North Greenville University earning a BA in history in 2006. He then went on to earn a MDiv from Southeastern Seminary in 2009. Andrew and Anna are loving life in the ministry and looking forward to what God has for them in the future. Andrew was fortunate enough to play football for the NGU Crusaders so to this day he still thoroughly enjoys college and flag football. He also loves to hunt and fish looking forward to these…
