Brenda’s #myCWRstory
Note: Brenda worked on summer staff in 1975. I worked at Camp Willow Run the summer that Mr. Mangum [co-founder & director] died. I didn’t know how ill he was or even had an inkling that he would be gone so soon after my interview. I just felt privileged to have been given the opportunity to work there, the summer following my freshman year at UNC, as I had then only recently committed my life to God. Meet our 2018 BUILD Speaker!
Matt Windley is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as Pastor of The Bridge Community Church in Morrisville, NC. He is on the Board of Directors for Open Arms Worldwide, which is a missions agency focused on partnering with local churches to reach at-risk children in their communities. Matt and Cheri met at Camp Willow Run while on summer staff in 2003. They have four children and the entire family loves spending time together at the ballpark. Matt has spoken at Willow Run many times and is excited to return this year for the B*U*I*L*D Retreat.
