Meet our 2014 Super High Speakers!

Lance Michels will be speaking for our November 7-9, 2014 Fall Super High Retreat. He is a Pastor at Summit Church in Durham, NC. Summit Church is a multi-site church, with church plants through the country. While Lance leads teams of Pastors from every campus in the Triangle, he serves on staff at the Chapel Hill campus. Lance focuses on reaching students on UNC, Duke and NCCU campuses particularly.

As a former church planter, Lance has a huge passion for seeing the church fulfill the Great Commission and also spends time discipling current and future church planters. Lance also enjoys outdoor sports, specifically mountain biking and snow skiing.

Married for eight years, he and Kristi live in Chapel Hill, NC. Kristi is a former Camp Willow Run summer staff member. Lance has spoken for summer camp sessions and has been a friend of camp for many years.

Daniel Ritchie will be our speaker for the November 14-16, 2014 Fall Super High Retreat. Born without arms, many people felt Daniel would be hopeless and helpless in life. God had other plans for him.  God gifted Daniel to use his feet just as most people would use their arms. He has a remarkable ability to adapt. You will likely see him on a field playing ultimate frisbee or soccer. He also loves outdoor activities such as hiking and camping.

Daniel and his wife, Heather, have one child. Their family is passionate about building relationships. Daniel loves sharing Christ and God’s hope with people. He is also a UNC Tarheel fan and especially enjoys watching football. He is currently Student Pastor at Collide Student Ministries in his local church in Wilson, NC. Come and you will be blessed to hear God’s message of hope and purpose.
