Celebrating 50 Years!
Throughout this year we have had the privilege to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Youth Camps For Christ, Inc. and its Christian camping and retreat ministries of Camp Willow Run (CWR) established in 1968 and Camp Willow Springs (CWS) established in 2014. In June, we hosted a 50th anniversary celebration event for staff alumni. Over 550 staff and guests attended! J.D. Greear, pastor of the Summit Church and a former CWR summer speaker, challenged us from Psalm 126 as he talked about faith and sacrifice. Meet Our 2018 Nov. 9-11 Fall Super High Retreat Speaker
Mike Camire is Pastor of Students, College & Global Missions at Parkway Baptist in Moseley, VA. Mike began attending Parkway Baptist the second Sunday services were held. He was a junior in high school at the time and became one of the original members of the student ministry. While attending college at Liberty University, Mike served on various leadership roles at Parkway. January 2008, he became the full-time Student Pastor. Though he has taken on other responsibilities, he continues to give most of his time to student & college ministry. He is also a graduate of Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Meet Our 2018 Nov. 2-4 Fall Super High Retreat Speaker
Luke is proud to call “Down East” home. He grew up on a farm in Scotland Neck, NC. He graduated from Hobgood Academy in 2004 and from High Point University in 2008 with a B.A. in Organizational Communications and Leadership. Following teaching high school, he felt the call towards ministry after visiting an orphanage in Ethiopia. In 2013 he received his Masters in Divinity from Campbell University Divinity School. Luke serves as the Associate Pastor at Nashville United Methodist Church in Nashville, NC where he works with Children, Youth, Young Adults, and Families. Father/Son Retreat Registration!
REGISTER HERE Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Camp Willow Springs Father/Son Retreat on September 28-30, 2018! This retreat is for dads and sons in grades 1-6. The cost of the retreat is $215 for father and one son. Each additional son is $105. The weekend includes times of family worship, delicious meals, the Father/Son Olympics, and fun recreation including the red shark, jumping pillow, octoball, swimming pool, archery, canoeing, and much more! Meet our 2018 BUILD Speaker!
Matt Windley is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as Pastor of The Bridge Community Church in Morrisville, NC. He is on the Board of Directors for Open Arms Worldwide, which is a missions agency focused on partnering with local churches to reach at-risk children in their communities. Matt and Cheri met at Camp Willow Run while on summer staff in 2003. They have four children and the entire family loves spending time together at the ballpark. Matt has spoken at Willow Run many times and is excited to return this year for the B*U*I*L*D Retreat.
