  • 2013 Fall Legacy Write up and Pictures

Planning began months and months ago for our 22nd annual fall Mother and Daughter Retreat.  This retreat is for moms and their girls in grade 6 – high school graduation (and beyond!).  With growing excitement and anticipation, 160 participants arrived early Friday evening to begin their adventure together.  From the first delicious meal on Friday evening to the closing time of worship on Sunday morning, everyone enjoyed a very special time together! Our Speaker, Tara Furman, opened our week-end teaching sessions with the call to ‘Embrace God’s Design for My Life’, continuing on Saturday morning with ‘Choosing to Start in the Chair’.. a special place for a daily quiet time…

  • Update from June 10-16

We had a great time with our 6-8th grade campers last week! Our speaker was Matt Windley, who was joined by his wife Cheri and their sons Ethan and Caleb. Matt and Cheri both served on CWR Summer Staff in the early 2000’s. The campers greatly enjoyed hearing from Matt, and also had a wonderful time in all of the recreation areas. Campers were split into 4 teams that participated in group games every morning and a camp-wide relay on Wednesday night. The Yellow Hot Chili Peppers emerged victorious! • June 3-9 Recap

On Saturday morning, we wrapped up our first week of general public camp! The weather was beautiful and the campers had a blast. The camp speaker for the middle schoolers this week was Luke Whitehead, former camper and staffer from 2006-2008. The 3-5 graders learned about the story of Joseph from Linda Harris, CWR’s executive director. Everyone enjoyed the recreation activities, as well as several beautiful sunsets and solid teaching from Luke and Mrs. Harris. Check out these photos for an even better glimpse into the week! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150833245391891.398385.33484416890&type=1
