Prayerline Update #2

Hello Friends of Camp Willow Run,

We hope this e-mail finds you well. Camp is in full swing now and we are already half way through our third general public week. Since our last update we have had our first full middle school week. The week went well and it is clear that the staff are settled into their various jobs and are serving well in the boxcar as well as on support staff. Chip Baggett, former Camp Willow Run summer staff member, came as camp speaker. He spent the week studying the book of Ephesians with the campers, looking intently at our identity in Christ and the implications this has on our life! The campers also had the opportunity to hear how the Lord has been faithful to work in the lives of two of our staff members, Craig Mason and Jen Thomas, as they shared their testimonies during our time of vespers.

Now, we are already half way through our first full elementary school week. There are many first time campers here now and they are eager to spend time in Bible study with Mrs. Linda Harris learning about the life of Moses, as well as time around camp in recreation and fun! It is always great to have the young kids around as they say some really hilarious things as well as ask some deep questions about the Lord.

It is evident that the Lord is continuing to work in this place in and through the staff as we serve the campers and share the Gospel with them. Please continue to pray for the staff that we will serve the Lord humbly and faithfully with joy! Please also pray for the campers that we minister to, that they will enjoy their week and be challenged to know the Lord! Also, please continue to pray for the exciting work being done at Camp Willow Springs. Pray for continued progress as the first dormitories are being built as well as the Lord’s provision as they still strive to meet the financial need! At the end of each camp week campers and parents are given the opportunity to visit the Camp Willow Springs site to see the progress being made and it is exciting to see their enthusiasm for this ministry as it grows!

Again, thank you for partnering with us in prayer as we continue to serve the Lord.

Grace and Peace,

Stephen and Stepha
