Jackson’s #myCWRstory

Jackson shares:

4 years ago was my first week at Camp Willow Run. Growing up, my family regularly attended church and for the most part lived a Christian lifestyle. Although I knew OF God, and had been “saved” at the age of 7, I never had a real relationship with Him. The further I got into middle school, the more I began to face real hardships and struggles, and because I didn’t have that real relationship with Jesus, I often felt lost and worthless. Finally, I attended Willow Run for the first time as a rising freshman. That week was a turning point for me because it taught me the beginnings of what it means to have a real relationship with God, and the peace and comfort that comes with it. I would credit that week to be the spark that caused my real relationship with God to begin. I began to read His word regularly and really began to grow in Him. I still faced many struggles during my freshman year, but the spark that I had felt at camp kept me going. Each of the next two years at CWR both brought even more spiritual growth, and relationships with multiple people who’ve been very influential in my life. Through my years of high school I’ve faced a lot of struggles and hardships that I probably wouldn’t have made it through if it weren’t for the hope I found in Jesus during my years at CWR. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today if not for Camp Willow Run, and the joy and peace that I’ve experienced there each year has helped me to get through the hardest and times of my life. CWR is still the best place on earth, and God has used it in an amazing way in my life, and continues to each year. “There’s a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place, and I know that it’s the spirit of the Lord” #mycwrstory
