• Meet our 2018 BUILD Speaker!

    Matt Windley is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as Pastor of The Bridge Community Church in Morrisville, NC. He is on the Board of Directors for Open Arms Worldwide, which is a missions agency focused on partnering with local churches to reach at-risk children in their communities. Matt and Cheri met at Camp Willow Run while on summer staff in 2003. They have four children and the entire family loves spending time together at the ballpark. Matt has spoken at Willow Run many times and is excited to return this year for the B*U*I*L*D Retreat.

  • Meet Our BUILD Retreat Speaker: Matt Rice

    Matt Rice serves as the Pastor of Care and Connections at Northwest Community Church in Cary, NC. He grew up in South Windsor, Connecticut. He graduated from Gardner-Webb University in 1994 and from Southeastern Seminary in 1999 (MDIV/CE) and 2005 (DMIN in Evangelism). He married Dana Rice in 1996 and they have 4 kids – Andrew (13), Mollie (12), Luke (10), and Jake (9). Dana graduated from UNC with a Pharmacy degree and works at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. The Rice’s love walks in the woods, jumping creeks, and going to UNC games.

    Registration will open February 21st at noon for our April 28-30 BUILD Father/Son Retreat.  Boys Under the Influence of Loving Dads is a retreat that enables fathers and sons (grades 1-12) to spend a weekend of fun, fellowship, and encouragement together in a beautiful lake setting.   Families have found this retreat to be both foundational and life changing in their relationships.  You will be able to access the registration form at the BUILD Retreat page or the  page.

    You can now download the registration form for the April 22-24, 2016 B*U*I*L*D Retreat.  It is available on the BUILD Retreat page. Boys Under Influence of Loving Dads is a retreat designed for fathers who desire to build Godly character in their sons (grades 1-12) with the guidance of God’s Word and through a lasting relationship. There is no better way to build upon your relationship with your son(s) than on this retreat. Also, men who are investing in boys without a dad in the home are welcome to attend. The weekend will provide an opportunity for men and boys to spend much needed time together in a great environment.…

  • BUILD Retreat Speakers: Meet the Antill Father & Sons

    Brad has roamed the swamps and timberlands of the Atlantic Coastal Plain for 27 years. He is a registered forester in North Carolina and West Virginia. He is also a member of the Society of American Foresters and the North Carolina Trapper’s Association.  Brad speaks and teaches to groups of all ages, sharing the wonders of God and His creation. He has authored four outdoor devotional books, including Pines, Prayers, and Pelts, just published in the fall of 2014. All of the Antill men enjoy the outdoors and are avid sportsman. Brad’s oldest son, Josiah, is a graduate of Chowan University and is currently a student at Campbell Divinity School.…
